Jan C. Grossman, Ph.D., Esq. is a managing partner of We Care Legal, a family law and criminal attorney as well a licensed psychologist. He received his M.A. in psychology from Temple University in 1970 and his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Temple in 1973. He received his Juris Doctorate from Temple in 1990.

As a attorney for the past 28 years, Jan has focused in all areas of family law, providing particular, dedicated representation to all custody support, and divorce cases involving addictions, mental illness, abuse, and child protection. Jan handles adoption for the firm and receives great satisfaction in uniting families. Jan represents criminal clients, with a focus on individuals with DUIs, addictive issues, and clients whose mental health issues have caused them to have contact with the criminal justice system. Jan also represents juveniles in the criminal justice system and works to resolve their cases in the most therapeutic manner, so as to protect their adult futures.

As a psychologist, Jan been an expert witness in Custody and Criminal Law matters since 1975. His specialties are child psychology, family therapy, addictions and rehabilitation, and victim support, and criminal psychology.

Jan strongly believes in being available to his clients as he his needed. He actually answers his own phone. He is available evenings and weekends. If a client allows it, Jan works with the input of his clients’ families, loved ones and support systems. He is comfortable working from a religious perspective, if that provides a client with assistance in coping with their legal situation. In working with client-children (and many adults), Jan is the only attorney we know of who actively uses therapy dogs to facilitate feelings of safety and comfort during consultations.

Jan is a networker who relates to proven local supportive community members from every professional and vocational area to assist his clients with any non-legal need that may arise during representation. Jan only asks the assistance of individuals who have a proven record and philosophy of quality work and caring for others.
